Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
- 1½ cups pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese, optional
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped, for garnish
Optional Pizza Toppings
- Sliced mushrooms
- Diced bell peppers
- Sliced black olives
- Cooked sausage
- Diced onions
Instructions
1. Prepare the Baking Dish
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Cut the Biscuits
Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into 4 small pieces. Place the pieces in a large mixing bowl.
3. Add the Pizza Flavors
Add the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper to the biscuit pieces. Toss gently until the dough is coated.
Add about half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan, and most of the pepperoni. Gently mix everything together.
4. Fill the Dish
Transfer the biscuit mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese if using, remaining Parmesan, and the remaining pepperoni slices.
5. Bake
Brush or drizzle the melted butter around the edges and over any visible biscuit pieces.
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown, the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the center is fully cooked.
If the top starts browning too quickly, loosely cover the dish with foil during the final part of baking.
6. Rest and Serve
Remove from the oven and let the bake rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired.
Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Tips for the Best Pizza Biscuit Bake
- Check the center: Because biscuit dough is layered, make sure the middle pieces are fully baked before serving.
- Don’t overload it with sauce: Too much sauce can make the biscuits soggy.
- Customize the toppings: Use your favorite pizza ingredients.
- Add vegetables carefully: If using watery vegetables, cook them briefly first to prevent excess moisture.
- Make it extra cheesy: Add small cubes of mozzarella between the biscuit pieces.
What to Serve With It
This delicious bake pairs perfectly with:
- Garlic bread
- Caesar salad
- Simple green salad
- Roasted vegetables
- Extra pizza sauce or ranch-style dipping sauce
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for the best texture.
