Make juicy, tender baked chicken tenderloins with a simple seasoning blend and easy oven method. A quick, flavorful dinner ready in about 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1½–2 lb (700–900 g) raw chicken tenderloins
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Optional: ½ teaspoon chili powder or red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly grease a glass baking dish with a little olive oil or cooking spray.
- Pat the chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Add the chicken tenderloins and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Arrange the tenderloins in the glass baking dish in a single layer, just like in the photo. Avoid overlapping them too much so they cook evenly.
- Bake for approximately 18–25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the tenderloins.
- Check the thickest piece with a food thermometer. Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Optional Flavor Boost
For extra juicy and flavorful chicken, marinate the seasoned tenderloins for 30 minutes to 2 hours in the refrigerator before baking.
Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, mashed potatoes, salad, or steamed broccoli.
Important: Because this is raw chicken, wash hands and utensils thoroughly after handling it, and don’t reuse marinade that has contacted raw chicken unless it is cooked first.
